Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Almost everything on this site is free, so there is nothing to refund. This page covers the two things that are not: 1:1 mentorship and consulting work. The short version — you are billed monthly, never for the whole programme upfront, you can stop with 30 days' notice, and if something has genuinely gone wrong I would rather fix it or refund it than argue about it.
What this policy covers
Only the paid services sold through this site are covered: the 1:1 DevOps mentorship programme, and any consulting or freelance engagement agreed separately.
Everything else on devopsbymuh.com is free and always has been — the articles, the practice tests, the Linux Playground and the other tools, the courses, and the YouTube videos. Nothing is gated, nothing is charged for, and so nothing there is refundable because nothing there is paid for.
Who you are paying
Payments are invoiced by Rashid LLC, the company that operates this site, at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are never collected or stored on this server.
Charges appear on your statement under the descriptor shown on your invoice and receipt. If a charge looks unfamiliar, email devopsbymuh@gmail.com before disputing it with your bank — it is almost always faster to fix directly, and I would rather sort it out with you than through a card issuer.
Mentorship — how billing works
Mentorship is $300 USD per month, billed monthly in advance. It is not sold as a lump sum: you are never asked to pay for the full 6-month programme upfront, so you are never sitting on a large balance you would have to claw back.
- →The first month is charged when you accept a seat and the programme is scheduled to start.
- →Each following month is charged on the same date, until you cancel.
- →There is no joining fee, no minimum term beyond the current month, and no charge for the discovery call.
Cancelling mentorship
You can stop at any time. Email me, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the 30-day notice period.
- →The month you are currently in is payable in full and is not pro-rated — the time is already reserved for you and cannot be resold at short notice.
- →No charge is made for any month after the notice period ends.
- →If you cancel before the first session has taken place, the first month is refunded in full.
- →Unused calls within a month do not roll over into the next one unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- →I can also end the programme with the same 30 days' notice, in which case any month paid for and not delivered is refunded.
Missed and rescheduled sessions
Life happens and this is not a policy designed to catch you out. Reschedule a call with reasonable notice and we simply move it — there is no charge and no lost session.
If you disappear for a full month without contact, I will email you before charging the next one. A session missed with no notice is not refunded, but a pattern of them is a conversation, not a penalty.
Consulting and freelance work
Consulting engagements are quoted and agreed in writing before any payment is taken, and those written terms govern that engagement where they differ from this page.
Where a deposit is taken, it is refunded in full if you cancel before work starts. If you cancel after work has started, the deposit is applied against the work already done and anything left over is returned. A completed and accepted milestone is not refundable.
Third-party costs committed on your behalf — cloud resources, licences, API usage — are not refundable by me and follow the relevant provider's own terms.
If it is not working
Tell me early. Mentorship is a personal arrangement and the honest answer is that it is not the right fit for everyone — if it is not working for you, I would rather hear it in week three than have you quietly stop showing up.
Where I have not delivered what was agreed, I will fix it or refund it. Where the fit is simply wrong, you cancel on the terms above and we part on good terms. What I cannot refund against is an outcome the programme never promised: this is coaching and technical guidance, not a job placement service, and no job, interview, salary or timeline is guaranteed anywhere on this site.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Email devopsbymuh@gmail.com with your name, the service concerned, and what you would like to happen. Nothing more formal is needed and there is no cancellation form to fill in.
I acknowledge requests within 3 business days and aim to resolve them within 10. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, and how quickly they land after that is up to your bank — usually 5 to 10 business days.
Disputes
If you are unhappy with anything, contact me first at devopsbymuh@gmail.com. A chargeback takes weeks and locks both of us out of a conversation; an email usually settles it the same day.
